What psychological conditions might result from stress?

Anxiety, depression and stress are some of the psychological conditions that may result due to stress.

The feeling of anxiety arises when an individual believes he/she is threatened. Depression is characterized by negative feelings, such as sadness, anger, guilt and helplessness.

We may feel stressed at work, at home, or while dealing with other people. There are different ways to cope with stress, such as meditation, yoga, exercise, or a change in lifestyle.

    Stress is a function of the extent to which the requirements perceived by an individual exceed the perceived abilities of the individual to respond. Stress can sometimes have a positive effect, and sometimes a negative effect.
